You may wonder what is all the hype about Plum Puddin'
(or Plum Pudding to some)

Well it all began many years ago in the 1980's. Plum Puddin' was a boy character who was created to be the guy pal to Huckberry. Several animated cartoons were released with this cute brainy character that was "the go to guy" for anything that required higher learning. He was also featured in many Strawberry Shortcake greeting cards , books and a pillowcase fabric to name a few.

Well, turns out that the Plum Puddin' boy character would not turn up on the merchandising list as an articulated doll. Due to the popularity of the gal dolls, the first boy doll Huckleberry did not do as well which caused the folks at American Greetings to reconsider Plum Puddin' being a boy character.He was re-invented as a girl character with just as much smarts as her male persona.

This left many wanting Plum Puddin' as a male character as he is featured in "The World of Strawberry Shortcake".

That's were Strawberry Shortcake Doll customizers came in and filled in the gap.The very doll that inspired me to begin to create custom dolls was a Custom Plum Puddin' that was created by Jennifer Bowles of Strawberry Bonkers .She had a very popular News letter in the 90's and was also a huge part of three very popular Strawberry Shortcake collectors books.Thanks to her there is a Plum's Place Custom Paradise today and also the inspiration for the name of my Custom Shop "Plum's Place".Below are some affiliate links to purchase Jennifer Bowles Strawberry Shortcake collector books.I own them all and recommend them all as well:

Since our humble beginnings we have created a great variety of Custom Strawberry Shortcake Characters.Of course one of them is our berry favorite Plum Puddin' (as a boy or a girl,we create them both). Plum's Place Custom Paradise has created several Plum Puddin' Boy Dolls including one that was commissioned with Purple hair. We are now accepting Non Strawberry Shortcake Re-root Service Commissions at Plum's Place !

Hi everyone, I am proud to announce that we are not accepting re-root commission services for non Strawberry Shortcake Dolls as well.I just re-rooted this sweet Tutti doll. She started off with dark brown hair. The dolls mommy wanted her to have light brown spiral curled ponytails. Of course we took up the challenge and below are her wonderful results....

Do you have a Doll you would like for us to re-root who is not a Strawberry Shortcake doll or character. As long as the head can be removed easily, I will accept the re-root job.

* If the dolls head is hard to remove or may be damaged from removing it, I will require that the dolls head be sent for re-rooting already removed from the dolls body. I do not want to damage or ruin a beloved dolly trying to remove her head. Especially if I am not specifically familiar with how the head is attached or the best way to remove it .I reserve the right to not accept a commission if I believe the difficulty level is to high or risk of damage to the doll is possible or probable. I will never take on a project that might damage your doll.

Tutti doll above was re-rooted with hair that was provided by the client. Hair was removed, re-rooted , and styled with two ponytails with three spiral curls on each side as per request. We will work with you to achieve the style you are wanting for your beloved dolly Pal. Re-Root service for above Tutti doll was $85.

I've re-rooted and styled many Barbie dolls and other misc dolls such as a vintage Punkin Effanbee doll etc.I love working on dolls ( any doll ) to help them look beautiful again. It makes my day! ❤
