Custom T.N. Honey Doll joins the gang at Plum's Place

T.N. Honey is a oddly and quickly made friend of Strawberry Shortcake. She makes her Debut in Strawberry Shortcake in the Big Apple City video.

 Strawberry Shortcake had arrived to Big Apple City to learn once she arrived to the hotel that she had no reservations.Turns out that that sneaky sneaker Purple Pie Man had sabotaged her once again. 

Poor Strawberry Shortcake finds herself with nowhere to stay. After discovering Orange Blossom at Sentimental Park and then Tamale (a funny Mexican Mole that could use a GPS ) they go to the city to meet Orange Blossoms closest friends.

First she meets her sweetly self absorbed Lemon Meringue, then her very interesting friend from London T.N. Honey. She is a smart and scientific young lady. Similar to Plum Puddin',she wears glasses and is very intellectual. 

T.N. Honey joins Strawberry and all her new found friends to attend the Live Bake-Off Contest at the TV Studio with Insane host (among other things) Coco Nutwork.

During this stress filled contest the Peculiar Purple Pie Man breaks Strawberry Shortcakes oven and temporarily wins by cheating.

It is T.N. Honey who comes to Strawberries rescue discovering that her oven had been altered. T.N. Honey fixed the oven and at last Strawberry gets to present her cake. Coco Nutwork snaps out of Pie man's spell,tastes Strawberry's cooking and wins the Contest ( a Gazebo was the prize).

In conclusion T.N. Honey ends up moving to Strawberry Land along with Lemon Meringue and Orange Blossom. Also joining them was Coco Nutwork and Tamale. Yet T.N. Honey is never give another moment on the screen again. Although she appears in Big Apple City for a very brief  amount of time.This 15 minutes of fame left a lasting impression on children who fell in love with her character and fine British accent.

Once again we have another really interesting character who did not reach the toy store shelves as a doll or anything else. T.N. Honey has been printed on paper items and fabrics. Some items you can find her on are greeting cards , coloring books, the Big Apple City bed sheets and curtains and board game to name a few.

T.N. Honey  (aka Tea and Honey or Tea n Honey ) is one of the most requested Custom dolls next to Plum Pudding being first on the list and then Raisin Cane coming in third . Plum's Place Custom Paradise has created several T.N. Honey Character dolls as we feel she may have looked when she lived in Strawberry Land. We imagined her as a Berrykin girl , Sweet Sleeper , and as her everyday Scientific self in her original outfit, bowler hat and all. Below are some pictures of our earliest works going down through the years as technology and our creative skills have improved.

Custom Plum Puddin' Boy Oh Boy !

You may wonder what is all the hype about Plum Puddin'
 (or Plum Pudding to some)

Well it all began many years ago in the 1980's. Plum Puddin' was a boy character who was created to be the guy pal to Huckberry. Several animated cartoons were released with this cute brainy character that was "the go to guy" for anything that required higher learning. He was also featured in many Strawberry Shortcake greeting cards , books and a pillowcase fabric to name a few.

Well, turns out that the Plum Puddin' boy character would not turn up on the merchandising list as an articulated doll. Due to the popularity of the gal dolls, the first boy doll Huckleberry did not do as well which caused the folks at American Greetings to reconsider Plum Puddin' being a boy character.He was re-invented as a girl character with just as much smarts as her male persona.

This left many wanting Plum Puddin' as a male character as he is featured in "The World of Strawberry Shortcake".

That's were Strawberry Shortcake Doll customizers came in and filled in the gap.The very doll that inspired me to begin to create custom dolls was a Custom Plum Puddin' that was created by Jennifer Bowles of Strawberry Bonkers .She had a very popular News letter in the 90's and was also a huge part of three very popular Strawberry Shortcake collectors books.Thanks to her there is a Plum's Place Custom Paradise today and also the inspiration for the name of my Custom Shop "Plum's Place".Below are some affiliate links to purchase Jennifer Bowles Strawberry Shortcake collector books.I own them all and recommend them all as well:

Since our humble beginnings we have created a great variety of Custom Strawberry Shortcake Characters.Of course one of them is our berry favorite Plum Puddin' (as a boy or a girl,we create them both). Plum's Place Custom Paradise has created several Plum Puddin' Boy Dolls including one that was commissioned with Purple hair.
